I’m Deborah Toner, a UK (Leicester) based historian, writer and researcher, particularly interested in alcohol, food and culture. Mexican history and Mexican food and drinks are top of the list for things I love and write about, closely followed by history, food and alcohol in other places, growing vegetables, finding rudely-shaped vegetables, and cooking with both rudely-shaped and non-rudely shaped vegetables. I set up the Drinking Studies Network in 2010 with some other cool people, and it is an excellent way to connect to people who are interested in all things alcohol.
